During the national Thank A Mail Carrier Day on February 4, customers around the country showed their appreciation for the hard work and dedication of their mail carriers. For the carrier team in Hillsboro, KS, a special treat awaited them at the office.

The residents of a local senior living center sent care packages to thank letter carriers for delivering the mail. Inside the packages contained cinnamon rolls, candy, crackers, a massager, hand warmers, and a special note.

“Thank you for walking and driving miles and miles to deliver our mail!” said the note placed inside each box.

“Hillsboro is a very close knit community, and this gesture from Parkside Homes for Senior Living to the Hillsboro Post Office reminds us that kindness is a great gift,” said Hillsboro Postmaster Becky Tibbetts.
