No award highlights the tremendous commitment to driving safety like the National Safety Council’s Million Mile Award. It’s a testament to careful, conscientious driving over the course of 30 years or 1,000,000 miles.

Recently, Brookings, SD, City Carrier Ryan Rindels became the latest Dakotas District employee recognized for a million miles of accident-free driving. His accomplishment is no easy task.

Driving without an at-fault accident for one million miles requires a keen focus on the task of driving at all times while behind the wheel. Though the effort isn’t easy throughout a 30-year track record of driving, the end result prevents injuries and saves lives. It makes sure that everyone can go home to their families unharmed at the end of the day.
