The Past and Present of Mail Delivery

Arizona Field Financial Specialist Gina Van Arden and her husband Mail Handler Michael Van Arden enjoyed an invigorating walk recently in Scottsdale when they happened across an interesting dichotomy.

Nestled within the Scottsdale Fashion Square stood a 2008 statue representing the 50th anniversary of the Hashknife Pony Express. The majestic imagery stood diagonally from a modern day USPS LLV. The contrasting icons are an interesting comparison between the workhorses of a previous generation and the workhorses under the hood of current postal transportation.
