Last week, many people around the world watched the athletic prowess of Olympians from their respective countries as they participated in the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles, CA.

Mid-America District Manager Gail Hendrix had the opportunity to celebrate the success of Chevi Peters, a local athlete in Pittsburg, KS, who not only competed at the Games, he also received three gold medals in powerlifting. Joining Hendrix and Peters during the celebration was North America Coach of the Year John Lair.

“I’m proud of the tremendous efforts displayed by Chevi and all of the other talented athletes in this year’s Special Olympics,” said Hendrix. “It’s an honor to have the opportunity to show our support for such an inclusive event through the Special Olympics World Games Forever Stamp.”
