Letter carriers in Prosser, WA, have driven more than five years without an at-fault vehicle accident, a total of over 406,000 miles.

“I am thankful for my employees, they are very dedicated to their customers and extremely safety-conscious,” according to Prosser Postmaster Larry Stone.  “We have safety stand-up talks frequently and I always remind them we want them to come to work in the morning, drive safely and go back to their families in the evening.”

Each driver was presented a safe driving certificate to commemorate their accomplishment.

As an added reward for their safe driving, Seattle District Post Office Operations Manager Sheila Grant came to the office one morning and cooked breakfast for the staff.

Employees sharing in the award included Robert Nabers, Juan Gonzalez, Terri Taylor, Ben Ancock, Juan Reyes, Tina Hutson, Brenda Hultberg, Dale Wharton, Verlene Austin, Lisa Schmitt, Farrell Bowden, Mary Schwartz and Janice Larson.
