World War II Medal of Honor recipient George Sakato

World War II Medal of Honor recipient George Sakato

This edition of Your Postal Podcast celebrates one member of “The Greatest Generation,” George Sakato, a former Denver postal clerk who also happens to be one of just eight surviving World War II veterans who received the Medal of Honor. New Forever Stamps issued this month honor Sakato and 463 other World War II Medal of Honor recipients.

You’ll also hear fan reaction to the Postal Service’s issuance of a collectible stamp booklet celebrating the wizarding adventures of Harry Potter. The program concludes with a brief roundup of the latest postal news as well as details on how you can enter to win an official program from the Harry Potter stamps’ First Day of Issue ceremony.
