Networking New Relationships

There are many organizations that use special events as a way to network with one another. Events can include meetings in various environments such as at a sporting event or a hotel ballroom, but whatever venue is employed, the goal of building lasting relationships is the key element to networking success.

On August 25, employees of the Sunland Park Post Office and Anthony Post Office in New Mexico gathered together for a friendly game of softball. During the game, each team had the opportunity to talk with and learn more about the people from the other. In the end, the final score may have indicated that a particular team won the sporting match, but it was the creation of many lasting relationships built on the field that became the biggest home run of the day.
