Passport Day brings in big revenue for Albuquerque

Passport Fair
The Passport Day in the USA event held on Saturday, Mar. 9, was a big success at the Main Post Office in Albuquerque, NM.
On this particular day, the usual three-week waiting period for passport appointments was waived. That was more than enough reason for 241 applicants to apply for the travel document.
Demand was so high for passports that customers waited in line an hour prior to the start of the event to get one.
By the end of the day, the office received $6,025 in new passport revenue and an additional $1,410 from the sale of passport photos. That’s a healthy return for the single-day passport promotion.
